Services

Engineering

As an engineering professional, I aim to use an array of tools to first help reveal the color and emotion in your music. I will execute techniques to bring your music to today’s industry standards. We will work together, not only invite the shorter attention-span music consumers of today to listen, but to imprint a timeless character to your music that can be enjoyed over and over for many years to come.

Mixing and Mastering is as much an art as it is a technical requirement for great music. Modern and Vintage. Deep and Wide. Warmth and Color. Transparency and Density. Saturation and Clarity. Huge and Focused. Surprising and Familiar. Dynamic and Full. These are attributes that I aim to infuse into the music that I mix and master.

Recording

As a recording professional, I aim to free your mind and open your creative spirit to capture inspired performances and track high quality recordings for your art. With a masterful knowledge of my recording equipment and software, I will keep inspiration flowing with a quick and efficient workflow. With a deep love and understanding of Hip-Hop and R&B music, I will bring an excited and present energy and focus to your recording session.

Production

As a production professional, I aim to not only provide dope beats, but assist in producing great art! With an invitation to the exclusive BRL Beat Club, you have the opportunity to stay inspired and continuously write and create by sampling a collection of dope beats, with new beats added daily. Each beat is reservable (until it isn’t!) and open to any desired changes, as I am excited to work with you to help produce your masterpiece together with you!

Testimonials

Greg has really been pivotal in me progressing in my career. He helped me find my voice in the studio. Now I write music for other artist, Sync (TV/Film) and a host of other things. It all started with Greg taking the time to help me develop my sound.
The experience is always amazing. Greg is not one of this producers/engineers that's collecting a check. Greg communicated with me, gave me ideas, and helped me record at a greater level.

FAQ

Universal Audio LUNA + Softube Console 1. It’s a great combo!

My go-to reference albums, to name a few, are Watch The Throne, 2014 FHD, Magna Carta, Graduation, 85 to Africa, Confessions, Ctrl, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, Pretty. Odd., Random Access Memories.

Quincy Jones is the GOAT, in my opinion. His productions always had so much depth, width, clarity, dynamics, and everything that makes a record sound good! His influence on the artists he worked with is undeniable. The other names that come to mind immediately are J Dilla, Madlib, Organized Noize, Pharrel, Kanye, 9th Wonder, Kan Kick, Knxwledge, Black Milk, DJ Quik, DJ Battlecat, 40, DJ Dahi, Cardo, Pierre Bourne, Nicholas Craven.

It depends on the artist, the mic, and the objective of the performance, but I really love to use a smooth mid emphasis tube mic to the Neve preamp to a CL-1B or Distressor. I also love to use the Manley VoxBox in a pinch for its versatility!

For producing, I primarily use NI Maschine, Kontrol, Reason, and any sound I can find and sample!

For mixing, I primarily work in the box, using UA LUNA and Softube Console 1. My go to Plugins are from UA, Softube, Izotope, Wavesfactory, and oeksound. I also use Yamaha HS8, HS8S, Avantone cubes, Sennheiser HD490, ATH-M50x, Apollo x4 and Satellite. Mics: MA-200, TLM103, SM7B.

I’d love to get my hands on some of the mics and outboard gear that I’ve used before and enjoyed working with, including the following: RND MBP, RND 543 Comp, SPL BIG, SSL Ultraviolet 500 EQ, Camden 500 Mic Pre, MA-1000 Mic, Manley Reference Mic, LT-386 Mic, Focal Trio Be’s.

I have no base fee, but it depends on the project and your timeline. We will discuss your needs and I will work with any budget. I’ll even forego upfront costs for points/royalties on your record.

I’m currently also a cybersecurity professional and all-around computer nerd. I love to spend as much time as possible with my family and close friends. I love sports, especially basketball and tennis. I play tennis competitively through the year, and basketball mostly recreationally. I love cinematography and can converse for hours about it. I love the outdoors and nature, and try to be out as much as possible outside of my work.

I love God and I love people. I love God in the sense that I understand that He is the creator and ruler of all, He is good, He has kept every promise made, and He loves people so much that he has lived a good and perfect human life with us to cover the often bad and imperfect lives that we live. I love people in the sense that I believe that we are all created in God’s image, no matter your struggles, thoughts, beliefs, or orientation. I was born and raised in Compton, so I’m no fool, but I believe in the good God in every person. I believe God loves everyone just the same as He loves me, so we all have an opportunity to place our faith and hope in Him. I live life with the understanding that this is God’s world, not man’s world, and I’m motivated in all that I do by my love for God and my love for people.
